2010 NBA ALL-STAR WEEKEND IN DALLAS

The forthcoming NBA All-Star Game in Dallas, Texas, will be one for the record books. The annual extravaganza of the NBA’s top 24 players will strut their wares before an expected Standing-Room-Only (SRO) crowd of close to 100,000 at the Cowboys Stadium (home of NFL’s Dallas Cowboys). Reports have it that as of now, 85,000 tickets had already been sold for the ASG alone. League officials and Mavericks management led by the enigmatic Mark Cuban, are discussing matters with Arlington fire marshals and public safety officials to determine how many more standing-room tickets can be sold and likewise on precautionary measures to be undertaken for the projected mammoth crowd on hand.

"It literally could be the largest party weekend in the history of the United States," Cuban said. "That's how big this thing has gotten. The Super Bowl, from a television perspective, is the biggest event of the year. But for attendance and partying, All-Star Weekend will make the Super Bowl look like a bar mitzvah."
